Forres Sandle Manor School, Fordingbridge – New Build Modular Building Access Scaffolding

High-Tek Scaffolding provided bespoke access scaffolding for the construction of a new modular building at Forres Sandle Manor School in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. About the Project

Forres Sandle Manor is an independent preparatory school set in beautiful grounds near Fordingbridge in the New Forest. Rollalong, one of the UK’s leading modular building specialists, contracted High-Tek Scaffolding to provide the access solution for a new permanent modular building.

Because the structure required external cladding and roof finishing works after assembly, a reliable scaffold was essential. Furthermore, the school site location demanded careful management of safety and access throughout.

Scope of Works

The project involved several important elements. First, the team designed and erected a full independent access scaffold to the new modular building. Second, they installed working platforms at all levels to support roof works and cladding installation.

In addition, the team fitted edge protection and debris netting to protect the areas below during construction. They also built loading bays for safe materials handling during the cladding and roofing programme. The scaffold was erected, maintained and dismantled fully in accordance with the programme. Finally, all works were coordinated closely with Rollalong’s site management team.

Health and Safety

Operating within the grounds of an active school environment made health and safety paramount. The team prepared full RAMS before works began. All operatives held current CISRS cards.

Moreover, every operative completed a site-specific induction before accessing the school site. Strict hoarding and exclusion zones protected pupils, staff and the public at all times. Regular scaffold inspections were carried out and documented throughout. Consequently, all scaffolding was erected and inspected in full compliance with BS EN 12811 and TG20 guidance.
