Scope of Works
The project involved several key elements. First, the team erected a full perimeter independent scaffold to the front, rear and sides of the property. Second, they installed working platforms and edge protection at roof level for the roofing contractor.
In addition, the team fitted an electric winch for efficient materials handling at height. They also installed a rubbish chute for safe, controlled removal of debris. Debris netting was fitted to contain materials and protect the surrounding area. Finally, the team carried out a safe dismantle on completion of all roof repair works.
Health and Safety
Working in a residential area required careful attention to neighbour and pedestrian safety. The team prepared full RAMS before works began. All operatives held current CISRS scaffolding qualifications.
Furthermore, the scaffold was inspected weekly and documented in full compliance with BS EN 12811. Neighbouring properties and pedestrians were protected at all times during erection and dismantle. Consequently, the project was completed safely and without incident.
