About the Project

Burlington Mansions is a prominent residential building in Boscombe featuring ornate turret features on the front elevation. The building required external decorating and repair works to maintain its appearance and structural integrity.

As a result, High-Tek Scaffolding designed the scaffold to accommodate the unique turret features of the building. This ensured the decorating contractor had safe access to every part of the front elevation.

Scope of Works

The project involved several key elements. First, the team erected full independent scaffolding to the front elevation of Burlington Mansions. Second, they installed working platforms at all levels, including bespoke access around the ornate turret features.

In addition, the team fitted protective sheeting to safeguard the property and the public below. They also installed debris netting and toe boards around the full perimeter. The scaffold was maintained and inspected throughout the decorating works. Finally, the team carried out a safe dismantle on completion.

Health and Safety

Working on an occupied residential building in a suburban location required careful attention to safety. The team prepared full RAMS before works began. All operatives held current CISRS scaffolding qualifications.

Furthermore, resident access was maintained and protected at all times during the works. The scaffold was inspected weekly and after adverse weather in line with BS EN 12811. Consequently, the project was completed safely and without incident.
