About the Project

Scope of Works

The project involved several key elements. First, the team designed and erected a full independent access scaffold to the industrial units requiring roof repairs. Second, they installed working platforms and edge protection at roof level for the roofing contractor.

In addition, the team fitted debris netting to contain materials and protect the areas below during the roof works. They also built loading bays for safe materials handling during the repair programme. The scaffold was phased to match the roofing contractor’s programme across multiple units. Finally, the team carried out all works with minimal disruption to neighbouring businesses on the estate.

Health and Safety

Operating within an active industrial estate environment made health and safety paramount. First, the team prepared full RAMS before works began. In addition, all operatives held current CISRS scaffolding cards.

Moreover, every operative completed a site-specific induction before accessing the estate. Strict segregation of work areas protected estate tenants and visitors at all times. The site team carried out and documented regular scaffold inspections throughout. Consequently, the team erected all scaffolding in full compliance with BS EN 12811 and TG20:21 guidance, with zero incidents recorded.
